Visual Impact Muscle Building and “The Shrink Wrap Effect”
An Enthusiastic Visual Impact Muscle Building Testimonial.
-By Greg O’Gallagher [The guy in the video above]
I started working out 4 years ago at the age of 16 as a small teenager eager to put on muscle. I followed a basic strength training routine consisting of:
- Bench Press
- Dead Lift
- Squats
- Lots of Food
After a few weeks of training I was hooked! My lifts all shot up and the scale weight was rising quite steadily. I had effectively surfed the natural testosterone wave that I was experiencing as a teenager. After several months of this program I put on a lot of size. Unfortunately most of this new size was in my legs and butt…
I was pretty strong for my age and impressed a lot of people with my lifts but I didn’t have that lean, sleek look of a Hollywood action star. I continued lifting regardless.
A year or so later a movie came out called Never Back Down. It was a mixed martial arts movie – think karate kid meets the OC. Well the bad guy in the movie was played by Cam Gigandet and he looked incredible.
He was lean and absolutely shredded. Right after the movie finished I Googled his workout routine and that was when I first came across a website called Fitness Black Book.
It was hard to believe that a site like this existed. I was hooked right away. Some of the things that immediately jumped out at me:
- Encouraged training for the lean Hollywood look.
- Suggested squats were NOT the king of exercises.
- Didn’t give people grief for wanting to look good.
I would love to say that at that moment in time that I tightened up my diet, traded squats for intervals and bench press for incline but that would be a big, fat lie. I don’t know what was going into my head but I guess I clicked away and went back to my get big bodybuilding mentality. Another year went by and I headed off to University (that’s what we call it here in Canada).
I ended befriending a couple bouncers and they invited me to workout with them. These guys were big at around 6’1, 230 lbs and completely covered with tatts.
Training and hanging around with guys like this made me feel like I was a small 16-year-old teenager again even though I actually was the biggest of my regular friends. That year I worked out with these these guys 5 days a week and we regularly went out to buffets for eating contests. I must say that was pretty awesome. That year I put on a solid freshman 15…… of muscle.
I was now officially a ‘meat head’ (I even had the stretch marks to prove it).
…My BIG Wake Up Call!
After coming home from University I was scouted by a talent agency. They called me in and liked my look and were ready to sign me. Then they threw out the kicker. They told me straight up that I was too big for acting or modeling, and that it made me look shorter than I actually was.
At 5’10 and 185 lbs I didn’t think I was that big. I must say I was pretty agitated that they called me in, made me waste my whole day and get excited only to turn me down like it was nothing.
I then went home and came across Fitness Black Book for the second time. This time was different. I was blown away and everything made sense. I remember Rusty talking about how guys with overly big muscles look try and hard and goofy in stylish clothes. How the ideal look is lean and muscular like Ryan Reynolds and Cam Gigandet.
I then clicked a link to his Visual Impact Muscle Building Program. Learned about the big 3 lifts that were ruining my physique. It was a massive eye opener I must say. I Invested in the program and went right to phase 3 to transform my physique into that of a Hollywood action star.
And boy did it ever work!
I went back to the same talent agency and their jaws dropped. They were astonished at the transformation. Not only did my body look 100x better but my face was more angular and defined…
They pulled out a contract and told me they wanted me and I told them that I’d think about it. Then I walked out.
What I liked about Visual Impact:
Visual Impact is written by Rusty Moore, a fitness expert who actually gets it. He understands that people would rather look like a lean Hollywood action star or underwear model than a bulky, pumped up bodybuilder. The workout programs are tailored exactly to give your physique the biggest visual impact (hence the name). If you gain 10 pounds of muscle on visual impact you can be damn sure you are going to look 10x better. I can’t say that about any other workout program. The visual impact program is one that will really enhance your life. You don’t have to obsess over eating 6-8x per day, taking 10 different supplements or worrying about losing muscle if you go on a weekend get-away with your friends. A lot of guys don’t want to go traveling with their friends because they are worried they will lose muscle. What’s the point of working out and being fit and healthy if you can’t enjoy yourself?
What I didn’t like about Visual Impact:
After Visual Impact I can’t go anywhere without getting stared at. I can’t even go out to a bar or club without girls caressing my abs Thanks a lot Rusty, I feel like a piece of meat
